Idearium is a visual and interactive tool for asynchronous and distributed brainstorming which enhances the ideation process in four aspects:
Project Management
Idearium is designed to aid and facilitate the session chair or manager tasks. Through the project management interface, session chairs can easily define new projects, their specific goals and deadlines.
Visualization
Idearium takes advantage of the most modern technologies on interactive graphic online applications to provide a highly visual online tool. Idea generation is supported by Idearium using a virtual whiteboard where participants position post-it’s that represent their ideas.
Collaboration
Idearium is centered on group collaboration and for this reason allows both remote and collocated collaboration in both synchronous and asynchronous mode. Teams can work with Idearium whether they are in the same room or distributed, also they can meet at the same time for a synchronous session or leave each member of the team work by itself.
Interactivity
Users can easily interact with Idearium through the three main interfaces that follow a highly visual and interactive approach. Interaction among users is also possible; Idearium provides chat and messaging functionalities to keep participants interacting.
Current version of Idearium is 0.2, it includes the features described here. Next version of Idearium will feature the integration with the Laboranova shared Repository.
