User Requirements
Customers’ needs are often not openly expressed. However, what emerges from our past experience is a clear need of having a better understanding of the useful information needed for fostering and participating in the Innovation process

(e.g. How do I find relevant people? Whom may I ask for advice? How do I approach them? Who can bring some input to make my idea grow? How do I exchange knowledge with them? What other subjects are connected / relevant WRT my idea? How do I find relevant ideas? What has been done in the past? What is currently available?).

Innovation-oriented Connection Tool
For these reasons the InnoTube Connection Tool has been designed and developed at CALT. It provides users with a powerful WEB2.0-oriented tool which allows them to connect themselves not only with own innovation-related characteristics and positioning, but also with the ones of the other InnoTube community members.

Deployment
InnoTube is suitable for being deployed in whatever environment where communities are dealing with Innovation. In particular, first pilots in actual New Product Design and development in an industrial domain proved the appropriateness of this tool as daily work tool in a corporate organisation.

Because of its strong WEB2.0 flavour its use can be fruitfully open outside the boundaries of a single organisation and being used in a Living Labs context. Last but not the least, InnoTube can be profitably integrated / interoperate with third parties tools which can highlight specific features and increase the overall added value for the user.
